IS CHRISTMAS A RELIGIOUS BELIEF OR A COMMERCIAL PRACTICE?
In recent decades eventhough christmas is the time of the year with the greatest, but it is also the time of year with the highest suicide rate.
The western society is considered post christian referencing that is more and more disconected with God everytime,for years December 25, Bethlehem,evergreen trees and exchanging gifts has been asociated with Chirst birth.
The origin of christmas goes back to ancient times, Romans had a festivity called Saturnalia that was similar to modern holidays, when gifts were recieved, hostilities were ceased.
So based of these references I think that Christmas is mostly a commercial practice because of everything it envolves in nowdays society.I am not saying that Christmas has no meaning for those like me who believe and share for the power of God and everything that our faith represents.But in contast there´s what today´s economy does with publicity, sales and many others stragities to manipulate people over the real meaning of christmas,
So what I´ve concluded is that christmas time and everything it surrounds it has them both religious and commercial practices but it´s on every perosn to decided which way are you focused on
